Instead, it compares information from many different sources and attempts to determine what appears to be the most reliable. Sometimes those sources agree. Sometimes they do not. Sometimes the newest information is also the most accurate. Other times an older source appears more trustworthy because it has existed longer or has been repeated more often.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The result is that AI can produce an answer that sounds confident while relying on information that is no longer correct.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Imagine your business expanded into a new service two years ago. Your website explains it clearly. Your social media discusses it regularly. Your customers mention it in reviews.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Meanwhile, an older directory listing still describes your business the way it operated five years ago.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A person researching your company might quickly recognize that the older listing is outdated.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">AI might not.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">If several older sources repeat the same information, they can reinforce each other. Instead, it compares information from many different sources and attempts to determine what appears to be the most reliable. Sometimes those sources agree. Sometimes they do not. Sometimes the newest information is also the most accurate. Other times an older source appears more trustworthy because it has existed longer or has been repeated more often.<\/p><p>The result is that AI can produce an answer that sounds confident while relying on information that is no longer correct.<\/p><p>Imagine your business expanded into a new service two years ago. Your website explains it clearly. Your social media discusses it regularly. Your customers mention it in reviews.<\/p><p>Meanwhile, an older directory listing still describes your business the way it operated five years ago.<\/p><p>A person researching your company might quickly recognize that the older listing is outdated.<\/p><p>AI might not.<\/p><p>If several older sources repeat the same information, they can reinforce each other.
