What is an AI Business Understanding Report?
An AI Business Understanding Report examines the picture artificial intelligence has formed of a business.
That can include questions such as:
What does AI think the business does?
How does AI categorize the company?
What services does it associate with the business?
What appears to be missing?
Are there outdated or incorrect assumptions?
Do different AI systems understand the business differently?
Does AI recommend the business in situations where it would reasonably belong?
The purpose is not simply to collect AI responses. The purpose is to analyze what those responses reveal when they are compared.
That distinction is important.
A business owner can ask ChatGPT about their company and receive a perfectly reasonable answer. That tells them how one AI system responded to one set of questions. It does not show whether Gemini or Claude reaches the same conclusions or whether different ways of asking about the business expose a different interpretation.
Who performs the analysis?

I use a structured process to examine the business across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude and then compare the findings across the three systems.
I look for patterns, inconsistencies, category clarity, omissions, misunderstandings, recognition differences, and other observations that become apparent when the responses are examined together.
The finished analysis is organized into a written report explaining what I found in plain English.
There is no automated report generator producing the analysis and no single AI visibility score intended to reduce the findings to one number.
Why analyze more than one AI system?
There is no single universal AI understanding of a business.
ChatGPT can interpret a company one way while Gemini or Claude reaches a different conclusion. One system might clearly recognize an important specialty while another places the company into a much broader category. Information that appears consistently in one system may be absent from another.
Even agreement deserves examination.
If ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude all describe a business the same way, that establishes a pattern. It does not automatically establish that the pattern accurately reflects the business.
That is one reason I compare the AI systems against each other and against the business being analyzed.
The important question is not simply, “What did AI say?”
It is, “What does what AI said reveal about how this business is currently understood?”
Those are different questions.
