Frank Masotti analyzes how ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude understand and describe individual businesses through the Frank Masotti AI Business Understanding Report.
The analysis is different from simply asking each AI model what it knows about a company. A single answer can be accurate, incomplete or dependent on how the question was asked. Understanding the larger picture requires asking multiple questions and comparing the patterns that appear across the three models.
For each report, I personally analyze one business at a time. I ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude the same structured questions, then compare what each model says about the company.
I look for:
- What the models understand correctly
- Where ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude agree
- Where the models disagree
- Missing or incomplete information
- Incorrect or outdated information
- How clearly the models understand the business’s specialty
- Whether the models understand who the business serves
- Differences in how the company is categorized or described
- Whether the models have enough information to distinguish the business from competitors
This matters because agreement between ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini does not necessarily mean their understanding is correct. All three models can reach the same conclusion and still be working from outdated, incomplete or misleading information.
It is also why one AI question cannot show how AI understands a business. The useful information appears as patterns across multiple questions and multiple AI systems.
The process is manual rather than an automated visibility scan. I analyze one business at a time so I can examine what each model says, what it leaves out and why different models may reach different conclusions.
The Frank Masotti AI Business Understanding Report is not an AI SEO or GEO optimization service. It is an independent analysis designed to answer a more fundamental question:
What do ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude currently understand about your business?
